Bonjour! Another fantastique day in Paris for our group. A little rain didn't slow us down, we are from Issaquah, after all! We had a lovely morning, starting on l'Ile de la Cité where we popped in to Notre Dame Cathedral (some saw Jesus' crown of thorns in the cathedral) and wandered through the flower market. We walked along the Seine down to the Louvre. We had all day for lunch and to visit the museum ( Mona Lisa and sculptures were among the favorites), walk in the Tuileries gardens and do a little shopping. 😊 We had dinner at Café Latin in the Latin quarter, steak frites (steak and fries) and tarte tatin (an incredible buttery apple dessert) . We came back to our hotel via metro and got to bed early, no complaints! Tuesday we have an early a.m. to head out to the Loire valley to see Renaissance castles. Spirits are high, everyone is positive and enthusiastic, appreciative, and simply delightful, amazed to wake up in Paris every morning.
